The Aerospace Valley Air Show is an entirely new event dedicated to showcasing the best of STEM and aviation. Organized by the 412th Test Wing, Edwards Air Force Base, this event will be the first open house for the base in 13 years. The weekend consists of a large STEM Expo with nearly 60 hands-on displays and activities, a large air show headlined by the USAF Thunderbirds Flight Demonstration Team, and several surprises you will have to see to believe! Crowd favorites such as a Kids Zone and beer garden round out the entertainment. General admission to show grounds is free to everyone.
2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the United States Air Force, while October 14, 2022 marks 75 years of breaking the sound barrier over the sky above Edwards. During this weekend, we will pay homage to both legacies with historic aircraft and sonic booms, mixed with the latest in cutting-edge aviation… You never know who will drop in from the desert sky!
The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, performs precision aerial maneuvers demonstrating the capabilities of Air Force high performance aircraft to people throughout the world.
Vicky has a passion for everything airborne! Her flying career has spanned nearly forty years and she currently holds an airline transport pilot rating as well as a commercial rating in helicopters, seaplanes, and gliders.
Bob is one of the most versatile airshow performers in North America. He began flying airshows in his Salto sailplane, and over the years has continued to create innovative performances.
John is well known for his smooth, masterful control of “War Dog”. Many of the maneuvers you will see are the combat maneuvers taught to aviators during WWII.
Chuck is an engineer, airshow pilot, test pilot, and flight instructor with over 10,000 hours total flight time and has performed in hundreds of airshows.
Rob Holland is one of the most decorated aerobatic pilots and airshow performers in the world today. Flying the MXS-RH, he brings an unrivaled performance to airshows across North America.
