Get your friends and your glow sticks ready because our 9th Annual Laps4Literacy Family Play Day and Glow Walk/Run is coming back to Lancaster JetHawks Stadium on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 and we’ve got a full night planned!
5 pm – 9 pm Family Play Day
7:45 pm – 9 pm Costume Contest
9 pm Glow Walk
Our free community event is the place to be and be seen! This is the day where we come together to celebrate early education and learn through play with over 50 booths offering educational activities and community resources.
Each year, over 1,000 families from across the Antelope Valley join us and discover fun, educational, and interactive activities that they can do at home. You and your family can expect: an obstacle course, a reptile exhibit, hair & face painting, an infant area and story time!
Each child that attends will get to go home with a free book at our What A Difference A BOOK Makes tent. Families should also be sure to visit our Farmer’s Market where they will receive a bag of fruits and vegetables – while supplies last!
All children are welcome to participate at our Costume Contest! Sign-ups will take place that night and we’ll be judging in the categories of Infant/Toddler (0 – 5 years), School Aged (6-12) and 13+.
