Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer Richard Marx has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, charting a number one song in each of the past four decades.
Marx has been a recording artist and professional songwriter for thirty-eight years, beginning with writing “What About Me,” released by Kenny Rogers, Kim
Carnes and James Ingram which became his first number one as a writer.
He remains the only male artist whose first seven singles reached the Top 5 on the Billboard charts, including “Don’t Mean Nothing”, “Should’ve Known Better”, “Endless
Summer Nights”, “Hold On to the Night”, “Satisfied” and “Right Here Waiting”. Overall, Marx has scored fourteen number one singles both as a performer and as a songwriter/producer.
Recently he released his unique and ambitious new album, simply and appropriately titled Songwriter.
