AV Fair & Event Center Announces 30th Annual Home Show
New this year - the SMART Water Conservation Expo!
 
LANCASTER, CA.  Homeowners looking for new ways to bring efficiency and style to their properties are encouraged to attend the 30th annual AV Fair & Event Center Home Show. Admission is Free for the Home Show on Friday, March 16, Noon-5:00p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, March 17th and18th from 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m.  Daily Parking: $5.00.  The 2017 Home Show drew 12,000 people over the 3 day event.
 
Newly added to the Home Show is the SMART (Sustainable, Manageable, Attractive, Responsible, and Timely) Water Conservation Expo presented by the Antelope Valley State Water Contractors Association.  Fun for the kids on Saturday and Sunday includes a huge Safari inflatable Obstacle Course, Slide, Bounce House, Climbing Wall, Carnival Games and Concession Stand with souvenirs.
 
The Home Show features over 150 vendors and crafters.  Attendees will find the event an informational goldmine, relative to questions dealing with their home’s appearance, comfort or functionality. Professional Home Show exhibitors will showcase and demonstrate their products and offer time and money-saving advice. The new Water Conservation Expo will feature vendors and seminars relevant to those who are concerned about conserving water, water efficient landscaping, and gardening.  The craft fair is back featuring a wide range of vendors from handmade jewelry and food to decorative handbags, crocheted items and more.
 
AV Fair & Event Center Home Show attendees are encouraged to enter the $200 Gift Card giveaway at the AV Fair & Event Center website, avfair.com.  The $200 Gift Cards will be given away during the show. The deadline to enter online at avfair.com is March 15, 2018.
 
Attendees also interested in winning tickets to the Palmdale Auto Mall Concert Series, Rally Kia Arena events and General Admission to the 80th Annual Antelope Valley Fair & Alfalfa Festival  (8/17 to 8/26/2018), are encouraged to do so at the AV Fair & Event Center Home Show booth. Winners for Fair tickets will be drawn, one per hour, during all 3 days of the show.  Winners need not be present to win Fair tickets.
 
Free tomato plants will be available daily, one per person, and free ice cream will be provided by California Dairy Distributors for kids age 12 and younger on Saturday and Sunday, (while supplies last) at the AV Fair & Event Center Home Show booth.  Pet adoptions will be conducted by the L.A. County Department of Animal Care and Control in the R. Rex Parris Show Arena.
 
New SMART Water Conservation Expo seminar topics will be geared towards helping attendees create more efficient landscapes and save money. SMART Water Conservation, Gardening and landscaping demonstrations will be conducted by Neal Weisenberger, Glenn Guenther and Denise Keef. Additional seminars will be conducted by various Home Show vendors and the UC Cooperative Extension's Master Gardeners and Slo Food Preservers (schedule to come, check avfair.com).
