Palmdale Amphitheater
The Palmdale Amphitheater at Marie Kerr Park is the Antelope Valley’s premier outdoor entertainment venue, providing audiences with a blend of high energy concert performances and community-based programming. Its convenient location, great sight lines and comfortable, grassy seating areas are complemented by Saturday evening concerts and Friday evening Family Movie Nights presented during summer months.

On August 12, 2014 the City of Lancaster announced the grand opening of the newly restored Cedar Center for the Arts, which had undergone major restoration over nine months. The new facility is comprised of several distinct areas including the MOAH:CEDAR Art Gallery, the Cedar Memorial Hall and arts classroom spaces. Many of these unique spaces can be rented for private events.

The Palmdale Playhouse and Legacy Commons announce a call for artists of all ages to participate in a juried art contest. Artists may submit art of any subject matter, excluding nudity and adult-themed content, in any format, not larger than 16"x24", framed or unframed and ready to hang. Artwork will be juried and judged. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each age category (55 years and older, 18-54 years, 17 years and younger).

The airpark was rededicated in Joe's name in February 2008 in recognition of his tenure as commander of Plant 42, his service as a Palmdale City Councilman, and his role as commissioner on Palmdale's Aviation and Aerospace Commission. The airpark displays a collection of aircraft flown, tested, designed, produced or modified at U.S. Air Force Plant 42.
